Old Settlement Vrachonas
The abandoned traditional village of Vrachonas is located on a hill of the village of Sivota and consists of about 50 dilapidated houses. Most of them are two-storey buildings with vaulted ground floor, built of local stone and dating from the 18th to 19th century. To the west of the village there are small citadel ruins of prehistoric times, which are actually the only example of fortified prehistoric settlement in the wider area of Thesprotia. The village of Vrachonas was the original intended location of the village of Sivota and flourished during the last century. The inhabitants were engaging in farming.
